Camperdown, Erskineville, Alexandria, Macdonaldtown, St Peters, Zetland
and Waterloo.
Nothing has been published in book form on the history of this area
since the Newtown Jubilee in the 1920s. This area grew in the
middle of last century and with the early arrival of the train service
became a rapidly growing Victorian suburb. Today these areas retain
their architectural history, mixed in with Housing Commission of the
1950s and 1960s. An enormously popular book on this colourful and lively
area.
